My years as a freelance editor and teacher of English at University have taught me many things about how people think about their own academic writing. Most people seem to find the style of writing required by their disciplines artificial. Most will have found a way to replicate it, but few truly understand how it works and how to make it more comfortable. I enjoy helping people to find their voice. |
Unlike most editors, I maintain an active research profile, and so I appreciate the pressures of finding the time to undertake research and to write about it in a way that both pleases me and is likely to be published.
My research background is in English Literature, specifically Middle English—literature, language and manuscripts—and fictionalised autobiographies. |
